Paramount SS blades are the only blades produced using computer controlled machines, creating hollow curves 10 times more accurate than any blade on the market. All other blade hollow curves are done by hand and can vary from 6 to 22 feet. The machining process reduces weight; a size 10 blade weighing only 213 grams is 30 grams lighter than our closest competitor.

Paramount aluminum skate holders are made from high grade aircraft aluminum, making them the strongest, stiffest blade on the market with almost 0 flex. Paramount blades have a diamond shaped cross section, making them stronger and stiffer then our competitors. When a blade flexes, it absorbs energy, a stiffer blade creates more power for jumping.

Paramount is the only company using 440C stainless steel made in the USA with a hardness of 59 RC. The 440C is the highest grade, highest wear metal used in the industry. Blades made with 440C last longer than any other blade sold.

Paramount also offers 420 HC, with high carbon content, up to 50% more carbon used over the 420J, used by our competitor.

When comparing the 420 HC to the 440C, the differences are the 440 has molybdenum added, and higher carbon content. These differences do not affect the skating performance, only the life of the blade and the time between sharpening.

The SS 440C and 420 blades have aesthetically smooth lines, without screws or pins, making them the most attractive blade on the market.

The strong Aero Space adhesive used, with 7500 lbs per square inch strength, eliminates the need for screws or pins. With over 30,000 lbs of strength holding the runners, the need for pins or unattractive screws is eliminated.

Custom colors can be ordered for an extra charge. $25.00 for one color, $35.00 for two colors or a color fade. Almost any color is possible. Four stock colors are available in any blade size or style for no extra charge.
